IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
The
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the test of your proficiency
in English language. Countries where their native language is English accepts
IELTS scores and consider it as the basic for the admission in their
institutions.
IELTS assesses your reading, writing, listening and speaking abilities and based on your performances score is awarded. Australia, Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand mandatory seeks IELTS scores. Approximately 3.5 million students in 140 countries at more than 1600 test centres is the authenticity of IELTS.
Exam Structure
IELTS is conducted in two modules; Academic and
General Training.
IELTS Academics is taken by those candidates who
are willing to join universities and institutions for higher education or for
the doctors and nurses who are willing to practice in English speaking country.
IELTS General is taken by
those who are willing to obtain work experience or for immigration purpose.
There are four parts in IELTS
· Listening - IELTS listening is an almost 30-minute section in the exam including four audio recordings which you need to listen carefully and then answer accordingly. It comprises further sections and all are interlinked to each other to get a listening test of their students.
· Reading - IELTS reading assess the ability of
reading for main ideas, gist, details, skimming, logical reasoning, and determining
the writers’ attitudes, beliefs, and objectives would be required.
It is designed to assess your ability to communicate effectively in reading
passages that are extracts from resources that can be found in an
English-speaking country on a daily basis.
· Writing - IELTS writing covers the critical thinking of the candidate providing a variety of modules that reflects the educational background of the student. Foreign universities mainly analyze this result to grant admission. The total time allowed for this section is 60 minutes.
· Speaking - IELTS speaking test evaluates your ability to communicate in English. The test is divided into three parts and is recorded. It is an interview-based assessment where students will have 11 to 14 minutes to discuss different topics with an IELTS examiner during the test.
Scorecard
Scoring in IELTS is done on nine-band scale. Scores are given for each test component, the individuals score are then averaged and rounded to produce an overall band score. After your test result are produced in 3-5 days which can be further used.

Register for your IELTS test – you can pay and register online or
download an application form which can be further completed and submitted at
your test centre.

Registration completed – Once application is processed a written
confirmation of date and time is given by the test centre.
